Application submission for the MSc program "Digital Health"

INTERINSTITUTIONAL POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM: “DIGITAL HEALTH”
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Academic Year 2025–2026
The Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Medical School of the Department of Medicine of the University of Ioannina, in collaboration with the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), announce the opening of the application period for the Interinstitutional Postgraduate Program (MSc) in Digital Health for the academic year 2025–2026.
Program Information
• Duration: 4 academic semesters (120 ECTS)
• Language: English only
• Mode of attendance: Online synchronous education only
• Schedule: Flexible weekly schedule adapted to the needs of working professionals, with classes held on Friday evenings and weekends
• Structure: Core courses, pre-specialization, specialization, and Master’s thesis
• Specialization Tracks:
o Data Experts in Health
o Digital Health Transformation
The maximum number of students admitted per year is forty (40).
Eligible applicants include graduates of undergraduate programs in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, Economics, or other related scientific fields from Greek Higher Education Institutions or recognized foreign institutions, in accordance with Law 4957/2022 and the program’s internal regulations (Government Gazette 1761/10.04.2025).
Applicants must submit their application electronically via the official program website https://ds4health.uoi.gr, along with the following documents:
• Online application form through https://ds4health.uoi.gr
• Copy of degree or diploma (including final grade). Final-year students must submit documents confirming completion of their studies by the time of the selection process
• Certificate of equivalence and correspondence of foreign degrees (for graduates of foreign universities)
• Official transcript of records
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• English language certificate (minimum level B2)
• Copies of scientific publications and conference presentations (if available)
• At least two recommendation letters (optional for applicants from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering)
• Copy of National ID card
Admitted students will be required to submit printed copies of their documents to the program Secretariat along with one (1) passport-style photograph.
The application period is open from June 06, 2025 to July 21, 2025.
Candidate selection is based on the following criteria: Undergraduate degree grade × 3 points – maximum 30.0 points, English language proficiency (minimum B2 level) – ON/OFF, Relevant scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings (2 points per journal publication as first author, 1.5 points for co-authorship, 1 point per conference publication as first author, 0.5 point for co-authorship) – maximum 10.0 points, Research or professional experience in a relevant field (10 points for 1–3 years, 20 points for more than 3 years) – maximum 20.0 points, Interview evaluating the candidate’s declared knowledge and skills – maximum 40.0 points. Maximum Total Score: 100.0
Tuition Fees
The total tuition fee for the MSc program is €5,000 and is payable in four (4) installments at the beginning of each academic semester, as follows:
• 1st installment (registration fee) – €1,500 (upon enrollment in the 1st semester)
• 2nd installment – €1,000 (beginning of the 2nd semester)
• 3rd installment – €1,500 (beginning of the 3rd semester)
• 4th installment – €1,000 (beginning of the final semester)
