
MSc in Digital Health

It was founded in 2025 and is provided by the departments of Materials Science and Engineering, Medicine and the Biomedical Research Institute of the Foundation for Research and Technology.
The program lasts four (4) semesters and the language of instruction is English. All courses are delivered online, and the total tuition fee is €5,000.
The curriculum includes both theoretical and practical courses covering a wide range of topics, such as Data Science, Medical Innovation, Health Information Modeling, and the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Health. During the fourth semester, students undertake a Master’s Thesis on research topics related to digital medicine and healthcare.
Applications are accepted annually. Candidates are required to submit a degree in a relevant field, academic transcripts, an up-to-date CV, proof of English language proficiency, and a letter of recommendation. The selection process includes evaluation of the application documents and, in the second stage, a personal interview.
The academic staff consists of experienced professors from the University of Ioannina specializing in computer science and health sciences, along with external collaborators from research institutions. The program maintains strong collaborations with public and private sector organizations, enhancing its practical orientation and offering internship opportunities.
Graduates of the MSc program can pursue careers in healthcare institutions, hospitals, pharmaceutical and technology companies, research centers, as well as organizations involved in developing digital health solutions. Scholarships are also available.
